Reiki can be learnt by anyone from three years old upwards. It is not an intellectual process it is experiential. A small child can be attuned to the Reiki energy and learn how to use it in a matter of minutes. Workshops for children are tailored to the age of the children involved.
Many young mothers are learning Reiki because they want to treat their children with natural methods where possible. An increasing number of men with stressful careers are turning to Reiki as a method of self-help. Reiki is being practiced by doctors, firemen, engineers, salesmen, computer operators, and manual workers to name a few.

Reiki is taught in three levels known as Sho-Den, Oku-Den and Shinpi-Den.

| SHO-DEN - FIRST DEGREE REIKI |
|
|
This Reiki workshop takes place over two very full days - usually a weekend and students are taught:-
Original Japanese history, ethics of Usui Reiki Ryoho and the FIVE PRECEPTS.
Understanding the meridians and organ relationship to the emotions.
Techniques to utilise Reiki for healing (including self-healing).
Doctor Usui's original hand positions.
Doctor Hayashi's hand positions.
Understanding the body/mind and the origins of illness.
Basic counseling skills.
How to use Reiki with animals and plants.
How to energise foods and liquids.
Reiki Mawashi - working with the circle of energy.
Ken Yoku - for strengthening energy and self cleansing.
Reiji-Ho - the energy connection technique.
The weekend is experiential and time is spent practicing on the self and each other.

| OKU-DEN - SECOND DEGREE REIKI |
|
|
This Reiki workshop also takes place over two very full days. Oku-Den is the Practitioner level and students are taught:-

Gassho meditation
Enkaku Chiryo - distant healing
Seiheki Chiryo - healing bad habits
Jacki-kiri Joka-Ho - transforming and cleansing negative energy
Joshin Kokyu-Ho - a means of purifying and strengthening personal energy
Sending Reiki to future events
How to programme and 'bank' Reiki
This workshop is also experiential and deeply healing.

| SHINPI-DEN - THIRD DEGREE REIKI |
|
|
This Reiki course is divided into two separate parts: The Master/Practitioner or Advanced Reiki workshop and the Master/Teacher course.
The Master / Practitioner Course is a deeply transformative course specifically designed for students who do not wish to teach Reiki but who are working towards Self-Mastery. Advanced healing processes and Japanese techniques are taught with the objective of deep personal healing and enhanced Reiki practice. The student is taught:-
The Empowerment symbol
How to sense and draw auras
Koki-Ho, healing with the breath
Uchi-te/Oshi-te/Nade-te - various methods of using the hands for healing
Reiki Undo - a Reiki exercise
Nentastu-Ho - affirming with the Higher Self
Heso Chiryouho - a navel healing technique
A cell activating method for the whole body
The Reiki Shower - cleansing meditation
Dream solving
Regression work
Clearing trauma
The Master / Teacher Course is personally tailored to each student and can be taught one to one over a period of time according to the individual's experience and aspirations or in small groups in a series of workshops according to the needs of the group. The student is taught:-
The Usui Reiki Ryoho code of practice
Attunement procedures
Healing attunements for the chronically sick
Information on other attunement processes
Teachings from other lineage's including additional symbols
Teaching and supporting students
Experience in workshops
Writing manuals and leaflets
Setting up a sharing group and emergency help-line

A Reiki sharing and support group is held on the last Wednesday of every month at 7.30 pm for Reiki students and practitioners, where information is exchanged and up-dated.
The evening is for group healing, planet healing and for sending Reiki to others in need.
